- how to identify a leo when they speak to you so you don’t waste your time, because everyone knows that
- you can’t trust a march pisces — they’re too different from you, february pisces, so make sure you
- surround yourself with the signs you do trust: cancer, scorpio,
- anyone who matches your energy. twin flames are hard to
- find: songs that make you dance in the kitchen, books you can’t put down, food that makes you
- smile.
- be kind to yourself, because others will be
- mean everything you say. speak words with your whole soul, words that sound like
- poetry isn’t the only joy in life, but it is a joy.
- just because you can write a sonnet crown doesn’t mean every poem should be a sonnet crown and
- just because you get rejected doesn’t make you less of a writer, so keep writing. don’t give up because
- one day that poem you wrote about your grandparents’ house will find its forever home in the form of a book and you’ll
- be happy — when you can be, even when
- it’s hard to keep a plant alive. don’t be discouraged when that wandering dude/golden pothos/snow queen doesn’t
- make it yourself, if you can. you’ll find whatever it is more satisfying, even if you have to
- ask your mom for help when that dough doesn’t turn out quite right and you have to
- start over, if given the chance. if you don’t try, you won’t fail; but if you don’t fail, you won’t
- learn as much as you can: take classes, read books, watch documentaries and
- watch yourself grow — heal — thrive. put down roots, make
- a home isn’t where you are but who you are, and who you
- have your dad read your writing because he enjoys it. you’ll always have his
- support what you believe in. others might disagree, but you have a brain and a good heart, and your parents taught you and your sister and your brother how to
- think critically. pour your soul into a cause, but save some energy for yourself. you need time to
- recharge.
- when you wake up before your partner, take a moment to match his breathing. you can always ground yourself that way.
